What is the Readers Rally?
Readers Rally is a reading quiz bowl style competition for students in grades four through twelve. Students read books from a pre-determined list and answer questions about those books. Each Gwinnett County school may send one team to the Readers Rally event. How do students at McKendree get involved? Submit an application for the Mckendree Page Turners book club. Start reading from the list! Get a study buddy and use the study guide to prepare for the competition! These study guides are TOP SECRET and are not provided online. Please save our trees and keep up with your hard copy! Try out for the Readers Rally team. We will select 5-7 students who exhibit knowledge of the books and the study guides, a desire to compete, good sportsmanship, and maturity. When and where is the Readers Rally event? Make sure you don't have any scheduling conflicts if you think you might like to try out for the Readers Rally team. The event will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Berkmar High School, 405 Pleasant Hill Road, Lilburn, 30047. Are students and parents required to pay a fee to attend the event? No – there is no charge for individuals. Each school pays a team registration fee. |
